Louisville VA - Rescue Hoist Training

Safety is a top priority at the Louisville VA Project, and this commitment extends to all aspects of our construction work, including potentially hazardous areas such as the sanitary tank area. In recognition of the unique challenges posed by this location, we recently conducted an intensive rescue training course. This blog post will provide an overview of the training's significance, key components, and its relevance to ensuring the well-being of our construction workers.

Rescue training in the sanitary tank area is of paramount importance for several reasons:

While the program didn't involve real emergencies, it served as a valuable opportunity for participants to practice the skills they learned. Simulated scenarios in the sanitary tank area allowed our construction team to demonstrate their proficiency in rescue hoist usage and effective communication in challenging conditions.

Louisville VA - North Parking Garage

          The erection of the north parking garage has started! Need a parking spot? The precast will be completed in the summer of 2023. The garage will have 1, 289 parking spots. Precision Stone is the contractor performing the work.       The erection will be completed in 18 sequences. It is composed of 1,177 precast members that includes columns, inverted tees, and double tees. The garage features six levels and will have architectural panels installed on the fa çade. Work can be tedious and overwhelming yet Nationwide performed like the professionals they are.  From a QHSE perspective they "Planned the work and Worked the plan". Deliverable items such as Toolbox Talks and equipment inspections are submitted consistently on a timely basis. We have never had a safety compliance issues. That is a testament of good management and leadership. Nationwide truly exemplifies how professionals can get the job done without sacrificing safety.
