Steel Erection Incoming!!!

Steel erection will be starting soon! The WTJV team is excited to go vertical as we will start to see the shape of the building come alive. The steel erection contractor is Derr Isbell and will be led by Danny Burkett. 

Derr Isbell is estimating a peak manpower of 75-80 personnel in order to install 8,900 pieces of steel, which  is over 12,000 tons! That number is just the hospital and does not include the Central Utility Plant nor any detached buildings. There will be two separate crane operations hoisting members simultaneously. According to the schedule, steel erection will start in September and is expected to take 12 months to complete.

Louisville VA - North Parking Garage

          The erection of the north parking garage has started! Need a parking spot? The precast will be completed in the summer of 2023. The garage will have 1, 289 parking spots. Precision Stone is the contractor performing the work.       The erection will be completed in 18 sequences. It is composed of 1,177 precast members that includes columns, inverted tees, and double tees. The garage features six levels and will have architectural panels installed on the fa çade.
